Some 100,000 Swedish kronor (EUR 10,000, USD 13,000), representing the amount Swedish women miss out every minute in comparison to men, were committed to the flames during the protest. I have a hard time believing this stuff to be actual problems in Sweden, Scandinavia and the likes, mostly because I’ve lived there (although I do not claim to know all things Swedish or Scandinavian, I’m just sharing my observations) and seen how focused the government is on equality for all people, foreigners, blacks, whites, males, females. They make more then enough money, as the leading countries of the world for overall highest living standard. And actually, apparently
“According to a new report, Sweden tops out as the #1 place for women to live.”
Isn’t it funny how we’re never happy, or content?
Just my 2 cents.

I could not agree more with this… Most of you have heard me rant about these things before, so I won’t repeat it. Also, it’s not like women and men with the same jobs don’t earn the same things (usually, and if that is the case it’s in order to recruit more men - such as to nurseries etc, often as a step towards BOOSTING THE OVERALL SALARY IN THAT PROFESSION) but rather the case is that typical professions for women, often in the state sector - teachers, nurses etc - are not as well paid as what private companies can offer - again since the state is paying.
Oh the hypocrisy.
